The Venza delivers elegant design and upscale cabin comfort with a series of efficient safety features for driving in winter weather.
Toyota's advanced Electronic On-Demand All Wheel Drive system provides traction control through a rear-mounted electric motor that prevents the hybrid SUV from skidding on wet, icy or snow-covered roads.
Under the Hood
The two-row Venza with five seats is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine and three electric motors for a combined 219 hp.
One of the electric motors powers the back wheels, while the other two provide power to the front wheels. It comes with an EPA-estimated fuel rating of 40 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
Hybrid powertrain features a specially tuned suspension offering smooth acceleration via four distinct drive modes– EV, Eco, Sport and Normal.
For electric-only speeds, the EV mode button shifts engine control to battery power and covers short distances of at least one mile.
Comfort and Convenience
Entry-level amenities include a wireless phone charger, four USB charging ports, a 6-speaker premium audio system and an 8-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Apple Carplay includes access to Siri, while Android Auto users can access Google Assistant.
Heated front seats offer three-tier warmth levels, with available Smart Flow Climate control providing additional heating to specific cabin areas for better fuel efficiency.
Storage space is 27 cubic feet, with a 60/40 option offering a maximum cargo capacity of 56 cubic feet for plenty of luggage and sports equipment during winter travels. A hands-free feature allows the vehicle's liftgate to open and close with a wave of the foot underneath the rear bumper.
