The traditional hybrid model offers excellent fuel efficiency for its class at 40 mpg combined in the city and highway. RAV-4 Prime has up to an EPA-estimate combined 94 MPGe.
When traveling in electric-only driving, RAV4 Prime offers a range of up 42 miles. It combines an inline-4 cylinder engine with an electric motor at the rear axle that generates 302 hp.
RAV4 Prime comes with a 3.3-kWh onboard charger that charges the plug-in hybrid in 12 hours. An optional upgrade 6.6. kWh charger reduces the full charging time to 2.5 hours.
