Toyota’s 2025 RAV4 offers a fuel-efficient powertrain, roomy cabin experience and an advanced integration of safety technologies for outdoor escapades.
The fifth-generation SUV is built on Toyota’s New Global Architecture platform. This provides a lower center of gravity and enhances the vehicle’s structural strength for optimal passenger comfort.
The 2025 RAV4 is available in gas and hybrid models. RAV4 hybrid SUVs are offered in LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Woodland Edition, SE, XSE and Limited grades. Gas powered variants are offered in LE, XLE, XLE Premium and Limited trims.
Under the Hood
Toyota’s RAV4 gas model is powered by a 2.5-liter engine that generates 203 hp and 184 Ib-ft of torque power. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and available in FWD and AWD configurations.
Gas-powered models come in a choice of front or all-wheel drive. Every RAV4 Hybrid model includes standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system (AWD) system that operates at all vehicle speeds.
AWD gas-powered grades come equipped with Multi-Terrain Select. An off-road tech feature that automatically adjusts engine throttle and wheel traction for maximum performance in mud, sand, rocks and snow.
Drivers can monitor torque allocation and slip control information on a multi-information display. The feedback offers valuable insights on how the vehicle is responding to current road conditions.
The 2025 RAV4 Hybrid system combines the 2.5-liter gas engine with two electric motor generators. It produces 219 hp and a manufacturer-estimated 39 MPG combined rating.
All hybrid models come standard with an Electronic On-Demand AWD system for daily commutes and off-roading. Unlike traditional AWD systems, the 2025 RAV4 Hybrid's system uses an independent electric motor to deliver instant torque and power to all four wheels when necessary. This ensures optimum performance and stability in challenging terrain.
An optional Trail Mode feature on the RAV4 Hybrid Woodland edition stabilizes the vehicle’s AWD system, brakes and throttle response over rugged terrain.
Comfort and Convenience
The 2025 RAV4’s entry-level features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 4-position passenger seat, multiple cup holders, three USB ports and a telescoping steering wheel.
Higher trims add heated power exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, four additional USB ports and a heated steering wheel complemented by heated rear seats.
Toyota also equips the 2025 RAV4 with its latest Audio Multimedia system.
All systems support dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for a maximum of five devices. A new integrated feature allows Apple Music and Amazon Music accounts to stream directly from the infotainment setup.
Occupants can operate the system via touch and voice activation controls. Over-the-air updates ensure it remains up-to-date with the latest features and security enhancements.

All 2025 RAV4 models are equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5—a suite of tech capabilities that enhance in-cabin safety and reduce the risk of accidents.
