All Tundra models are equipped with a new 32.2 gallon fuel tank that offers an enhanced driving range for longer road trips and outdoor activities with fewer fuel stops.
Toyota has also added a standard tow hitch receiver and 7/4-pin connector on every model to support multiple trailer electrical functions. This includes brake lights, turn signals, running lights, electric trailer brakes and battery charging.
2026 Tundra Lineup
The 2026 Toyota Tundra is available in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro and Capstone trim levels, offering a range of configurations for different needs and preferences.
Toyota includes the new SmartFlow climate management system on all models equipped with single-zone climate control. The system directs airflow only to occupied seating positions.
Double Cab configurations are available on SR, SR5 and Limited trims and include standard air vents located in the rear center console for backseat passengers.
The mid-level Limited trim receives updated interior finishes of black leather-trimmed seats with white stitching, while grey leather surfaces have been paired with black stitching for a distinctive interior look.
Tundra’s Capstone trim comes with a revamped interior with Shale Premium Textured leather-trimmed seats. The upscale design adds contrast stitching and additional premium interior details that reinforce its position as the top trim in the 2026 Tundra lineup.
The TRO Pro delivers Isodynamic Performance Seats for off-road enthusiasts and helps reduce erratic body movement as well as minimize body fatigue during long distance journeys.
A new Wave Maker exterior paint color replaces the previous model year’s Mudbath paint. The blue finish highlights the Tundra’s grille design, black exterior accents, skid plate and all-terrain tires which emphasizes the model’s rugged appearance and capability.
Toyota has also expanded the availability of power running boards to Platinum and 1794 Edition models equipped with the TRD Off-Road Package. The boards automatically deploy when a door is opened, providing a wider and lower step for easier entry and exit.
Under the Hood
The 2026 Toyota Tundra is powered by a 3.4-liter twin turbo i-FORCE V6 engine available in two configurations.
A standard i-FORCE engine produces 389 hp and 479 Ib-ft of torque. Buyers seeking additional engine performance can choose the i-FORCE Max hybrid powertrain which produces 437 hp and 583 Ib-ft of torque.
Toyota offers an i-FORCE MAX hybrid engine, which combines the twin-turbocharged V6 engine with a motor generator and clutch assembly encased inside a transmission bell housing.
Both powertrains are paired with a 10-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence which makes the appropriate gear selection in diverse driving scenarios.
The transmission also includes Sequential Shift Mode for drivers who prefer manual gear selection along with uphill and downhill logic. The system helps drivers choose the right gear when navigating difficult descents.
The TRD Off-Road Package provides technology designed to maintain driving confidence in challenging terrain. Features include Multi-Terrain Select, wheel slip and traction control settings that match changing driving conditions.
A Crawl Control feature powers a low-speed cruise control system which regulates vehicle movement in off-road environments.
Comfort and Convenience
The 2026 Toyota Tundra comes equipped with a standard 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, multiple USB ports, single-zone climate control with Toyota’s new SmartFlow climate management system, Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker audio system.
High-end trims include a 14-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 10-way power adjustable front seats with memory function, head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging and a 12-speaker audio boom box.
Both multimedia systems retain an easy-to-grip physical volume dial that allows drivers to make quick audio adjustments without taking their attention off the road.
The 2026 Tundra offers a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds for summer campers and weekend trips to the lake.
Safety
All 2026 Tundra vehicles come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5—a suite of driver-assistance technologies that prevent accidents and enhance driver awareness.
Features:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Lane Tracing Assist

The 2026 Tundra is fitted with Toyota’s Rear Seat Reminder which monitors if a rear door has been opened within 10 minutes before the vehicle is turned on and offers a reminder to check the rear seating area before exiting.
Other additional safety tech includes Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking which detects nearby vehicles or objects at low speeds.
