The Corolla hatchback delivers all the great features of the classic Corolla, but offers much more for utility drivers looking for a racy look and feel. A thrifty engine and a 14.2 gallon fuel tank delivers long-range driving–460 miles before needing a fill-up. The vehicle gets an estimated 41mpg highway/32 mpg city.
Behind the patterned grille is a 2.0-liter 4 cylinder engine that generates 168 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a standard automatic CVT and 6-speed intelligent manual transmission, the Corolla Hatchback can race up to a speed of 0-60 mph in an estimated time of 8 seconds.
Inside, the Corolla hatchback accommodates five passengers and offers 17.8 cubic feet of storage room. An 8-inch infotainment system is mounted high on the dashboard for easy accessibility and visibility.
Toyota supports all the most popular music services, delivered through a 6-speaker audio system. Drivers can connect to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite, Amazon Alexa and their own Bluetooth playlist.
Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.0 suite of driver assists includes: automatic high beams, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert and roadside assistance.
The 2022 Corolla Hatchback was appraised by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for crash worthiness and safety. It scored good ratings from both authorities.
