The AWD badge of the gas-powered model has also been relocated to the back of the SUV. The hybrid electric vehicle emblem is now displayed prominently on the rear liftgate of all models.
A radiant Soul Red Crystal exterior color has been added to the Corolla Cross family. This vibrant hue is paired with a contrasting black roof on Hybrid SE, XSE and Nightshade models. The Nightshade trim also offers an exclusive Wind Chill Pearl color option.
Under the Hood
The 2025 Corolla Cross hybrid is equipped with a 2.0-liter powertrain and electronic on-demand all-wheel drive. It is powered by three electric motors and delivers 196 hp for an acceleration of 0-60 mph in 8 seconds.
A compact lithium-ion battery is conveniently located under the rear seats and contributes to a roomy interior as well as lower center of gravity. All grades come with a manufacturer estimated 42 combined MPG rating.
Gas-powered Corolla Cross SUVs are available in FWD and AWD configurations. Both drivetrains generate 169 hp and 151 Ib-ft of torque output.
A Dynamic Torque Control system evenly distributes power to the rear wheels when required for enhanced traction and stability. It offers an estimated fuel economy of 30 MPG for all-wheel drive models and 32 MPG for front-wheel drive models.
Both SUV choices come with a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds for a cargo trailer of gear such as skis, boots, camping equipment, bikes and kayaks for an adventurous getaway.
Comfort and Convenience
The entry-level amenities on both models include fabric trimmed seating, black heated power mirrors, a 6-way manual adjustable driver’s seat and 4-way flexible passenger seat. It also includes a 4.2-inch multi-information display with customizable settings, two charging ports, remote keyless entry and rear HVAC vents.
All grades are fitted with an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless compatibility. An available 7-inch cluster showcases the vehicle’s vitals and allows drivers to use steering-wheel mounted controls to keep track of driving data, turn-by-turn directions and safety alerts.
An active Drive Connect subscription grants access to Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation and Destination Assist. Intelligent Assistant uses voice prompts to search for directions, locate points of interests, adjust audio controls and change cabin temperatures.
The Cloud Navigation feature downloads the latest map and traffic updates for stress-free road trips. Destination Assist also offers round-the-clock access to live agents that assist with planning routes and resolving navigation issues.
