The 2022 Toyota Venza comes with impressive fuel economy and expansive cabin space for long distance road trips. It also offers a spectrum of advanced driver-friendly technology and safety features for avoiding summertime driving hazards.
Under the Hood
Equipped with a hybrid AWD powertrain, the 2022 Venza combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors that churns out 219 hp and 163 Ib-ft of torque.
Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive comes with the new Venza. The selectable drive modes (Sport, Eco, Normal and EV) collectively provide an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 40 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
While the Sport mode utilizes burns more fuel because of increased torque and horsepower, the Eco mode offers better fuel economy and gas mileage by restricting engine and transmission performance.
The Normal mode is the standard setting provided by Toyota and best suited for everyday driving, while the EV mode provides electric-only low speeds and short distances of around 25 mph.
Comfort and Convenience
Front seats are lumbar-supported and come with a range of adjustments for the driver to find a comfortable position and avoid fatigue on long distance drives..
This two-row SUV with five seats offers 28.8 cubic feet of storage space and 55.1 cubic feet with the back seats folded flat–enough room to bring along an assortment of road trip essentials.
Cup holders accommodate large drink sizes and air conditioning technology uses seat occupant sensors to identify areas in the vehicle that are occupied to direct cooling air. This technology reduces load on the cooling system and provides the appropriate level of conditioned air comfort in the SUV by reducing energy consumption at the same time.
