2020 RAV4 Continues To Evolve

Available in a number of trims, and even as a hybrid, the 2020 RAV4 provides plenty of options for personalizing the compact crossover.

Under the Hood

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 is available as either a hybrid or with a traditional engine. All versions of the 2020 Toyota RAV4s feature a 16-valve, 2.5-liter dynamic force engine. The four-cylinder, aluminum alloy motor produces 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.

In hybrid configurations, the Toyota Hybrid System II maximizes efficiency by pairing a 244.8-volt nickel-metal hydride battery with the RAV4s gasoline-powered engine.

Comfort & Convenience

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 comes in six trims: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, TRD Off-Road and Limited. Dual chrome exhaust kits, LED tail lights and stop lights and aerodynamic underbody panels come standard across all versions of the compact crossover.

All 2020 Toyota RAV4s have backup cameras with projected path, while premium trims can enjoy a backup camera that includes dynamic guidelines. The TRD Off-Road and Limited trims have the option for a Bird's Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan, which provides an overhead, 360 degree view in low-speed drive and reverse. It also includes curb view, to help keep you from scraping your wheels on the corner of the sidewalk.

Safety

Toyota’s engineers clearly emphasized safety when designing the 2020 Toyota RAV4. All trims have eight airbags standard, along with an advanced suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies.

Across the line, 2020 RAV4s come with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 and the Star Safety System. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes technologies like lane departure alert with steering assist, dynamic radar cruise control and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.

The Star Safety System delivers features like enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, antilock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist and Smart Stop Technology.
