For years the Toyota Prius has been the standard for hybrids. Toyota’s engineers upped the ante this time with the 2020 Prius Prime, a dramatically styled hybrid that’s the company’s most advanced hybrid to date.
Under the Hood
All three versions of the 2020 Toyota Prius Prime, the LE, XLE and Limited, are powered by a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder ECVT Hybrid engine. The electric motor has a range of 25 miles, while the EPA estimates the plug-in hybrid has a total driving range of 640 miles.
Comfort & Convenience
Breathe easier in the 2020 Toyota Prius Prime, thanks to the plug-in hybrid’s smart-flow climate control system with pollen filtration.
An integrated backup camera comes standard, as does the 4.2-inch color dual Multi-Information Display with customizable screens.
All three trim packages enjoy SofTex-trimmed tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio, climate, Multi-Information Display and Bluetooth hands-free phone controls.
Safety
Toyota is synonymous with safety, and the 2020 Prius Prime continues that proud tradition. Standard on every 2020 Toyota Prius Prime is the Star Safety System, which includes Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Brake System and Smart Stop Technology.
Toyota Safety Sense--which features Automatic High Beams, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist--also comes standard on every 2020 Toyota Prius Prime.
