Rugged 2019 Tundra Blends Toughness, Comfort

Built to take on the toughest jobs, the 2019 Tundra also delivers a smooth, quiet ride.

Under the Hood

There are two engine options for the 2019 Toyota Tundra, both of which are V8s. The standard 4.6-liter i-Force V8 produces 310 horsepower at and 327 pound-feet of torque, while the burly 5.7-liter churns out 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque

Both engines are paired with a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. Fashioned from an aluminum cylinder block, the engines feature double overhead-cam heads with four valves per cylinder, Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence and an Acoustic Control Induction System for a broad torque curve.

Comfort & Convenience

The 2019 Tundra blends rugged dependability with a smooth, quiet ride. The interior boasts soft-touch surfaces, high-granulated paint on the center cluster and unique seat stitching. Standard High Solar Energy-Absorbing glass helps filter out heat and UV light energy that could potentially damage cabin materials.

There’s a center-mounted multi-information display screen, and the gauges are clustered in a design that’s easy to see. The console provides multiple storage areas and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming comes standard on all models. A windshield wiper de-icer is also standard, along with front and rear mudguards, power windows and door locks, and heated and power outside mirrors.

Looking for something more luxurious? The Limited grade boasts leather-trimmed seats in a variety of colors, dual-zone climate control and 10-way power driver’s seat. The CrewMax takes things further with a power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade.

Every grade of 2019 Tundra offers Toyota Safety Sense-P standard. The suite of safety features includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection function, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Automatic High Beams.

Also standard is the Toyota Star Safety System, which features Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist and Smart Stop Technology brake override technology.
