2019 Avalon Delivers Efficiency, Comfort

The all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon checks all the boxes when it comes to what drivers want from their vehicles.

Like a fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain, sleek styling, advanced technology and plenty of safety features.

Under the Hood

Buyers of the 2019 Toyota Avalon will be able to choose between a new fuel-efficient 3.5-liter V6 engine or a hybrid powerplant consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 650-volt electric motor that will be even more fuel-efficient.

A continuously variable automatic transmission transfers power to the wheels and works with the engine to provide a smooth driving experience that also consumes less fuel than previous models.

Comfort and Convenience

Toyota describes the interior of the 2019 Avalon as “cockpit meets cocoon” to showcase how the vehicle is built specifically with the occupant comfort in mind with soft-touch materials, deep curves in armrests for maximum comfort and upgraded leather surfaces for a rich feel to the interior.

Another shining spot of the 2019 Avalon is the top-of-the-line multimedia suite. The Entune 3.0 Audio Plus infotainment system with Connected Navigation Scout GPS Link App and an app connect interface ensures maximum usability and quality as well as convenience. Apple CarPlay is standard on all models, and intuitive voice commands make controlling the system easy, as does the 9-inch capacitive touchscreen that has the feel of a smartphone.

But when it comes to connectivity, it’s not just for smartphones anymore. Bluetooth-enabled voice calls, mobile app integration and audio streaming are standard, and now Toyota ups the game by including connectivity to smart watches and Amazon Alexa devices, making car-to-home and home-to-car interaction possible.

Top-of-the-line models feature the 1,200-watt, 14-speaker JBL sound system with 7.1-channel surround sound, a TNGA structure and top hardware for near-theater-quality sound for audiophiles.

Safety

The 2019 Avalon will benefit from the standard Toyota Safety Sense P suite, which includes full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist and automatic high beams.

Other safety features include blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert and back guide monitor.

A full set of airbags and standard three-point seat belts protect occupants in the event of a collision, and the traction/stability control and braking systems help prevent them altogether.
